VHS Tapes Look Lousy On Plasma HDTV - upscaling old movies

I have a new 63 "Samsung Plasma 1080p HDTV.I played a VHS tape, looking generally well on my old TV picture tube on my recorder, but do not look so good is in the plasma screen. Normal? Some DVDs old movies ( "The Wild Bunch," for example) does not look all that great game either.Will one upcoverting films and / or upscaling player be any different?

Well, the quality of the VHS never believe that all great, even in the seventies, when he invented. In addition, some films that are controlled are poorly coded.

If you currently have something like an RCA or S-video from your DVD player and TV, then get a upscaling player connected via HDMI and improve the quality massively.
